And then, after the fourth or fifth long training run.. you're stuck.
After more than 25 years of competing and coaching at the highest level, I realized this happens to 80% of all age-group runners over 40, running marathons between 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 hours.
Which is a shame..
And it's not just the busy life you're living with work, family and friends. It's the 'traditional' high mileage training approach, that works for the elite, but -boldly said- not for you.
